Discovery VR App Reviews

In some cardboard apps, I see double with my homemade viewer. This one works great. Minus one star because as others have pointed out, some of the videos are a bit low-res. Very nice content.

This thing is awesome I dont have the cardboard thing to go with it but I just hold out right in front of me and its so cool because it looks like and feels like Im there and its just really really cool I can swim with the whale sharks I can learn how to build a fire In the wilderness and even go in space all these things for a lifetime experience and I can easily do all of them just a tap a button thank you so much❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This app used to be amazing but since the most recent update I am stuck looking at the ground and turning my head does nothing.

Cool app but no sound

This app is great. Its amazing how seamless it is. Simply beautiful. I especially love the Brian and Justin segments!

In a field of very poor VR apps with limited and poor content the Discovery VR app stands out. It works consistently and the content is outstanding. The only issue anyone of the people Ive showed it to have is that the switching between 2D and 3D is a bar at the top of the screen which cant be seen when the phone is loaded into the viewer and the phone is locked in portrait mode. It would be nice if it displayed the bar based on the phone orientation and put the prompt in stereo if the cardboard button is pressed. Navigation could also be better as it is disappointing that you have to remove it from the cardboard viewer to select the video you want to watch. But those are minor given most apps just strand you and require you to force it to shut down.

Really great to see this from someone who has just started to get heavily into the VR options out there for iOS. Loved to see all of this content released at once – and if I may say so, the shorts with Brian Brushwood and Justin Robert Young were easily my favorite. More with those two guys, please!

This is a very cool app. I find myself turning in circles looking at all the details. Justin and Brian are great, I would love to see them in more of these kinds of stories.

Love this app and content. I received Google cardboard from my company and wanted to use it more so I downloaded Discovery VR. I especially like the nature videos (sharks/elephants) and the shorts with Justin and Brian exploring Austin!

I really liked this app especially the videos with Brian and Justin. My daughter liked the animals videos.

If you wondered what YouTube videos from the dial-up modem would look like, get this app. Blocky, low res videos disguised as fake vr.

This app is awesome, I love being able to watch these videos in vr!

Was great until the added zombie attack as the top video.

This is a great app for viewing content for Google Cardboard. The videos with Justin and Brian are great. I hope they keep making them <>

Needs higher resolution.

It wont load and buffers way too much

Its pretty great as is, but even better if you have a Google Cardboard headset. My favorite video is the dudes skateboarding down the hill in San Fran

Its cool but the image is extremely blurry when using Google cadboard. Makes it impossible to see anything.

I enjoy watching the videos with hoodie cardboard especially because you cant do that on YouTube. But I wish I could chose the quality of the videos because its really blurry.
