App crashes

Running iOS 10. App crashes shortly after opening. Unable to view any videos.

Cool app

Lots of content, there needs to be a way to set the resolution. Id rather have full res like YouTube videos, even if I have to let it buffer for a little bit.

Great app poor hardware

You need a Google cardboard headset in order to take advantage of the VR experience. If you do then try it out. The images look blurry but its still a great effect and one of the better VR apps Ive seen. If the iPhone 6 had a better screen with more pixels this app would be amazing.

Very cool app

Parents, download this right now. Your kids will be entertained long enough for you to do what you need to do.

Crashes immediately

Nice idea if it worked. Crashes as soon as I try to open it. I aint got time for this. DELETED

Looks promising but...

Accelerometer does not work on iPod touch 5th gen

Very cool app!

This is pretty awesome and has lots of potential to bring the World to more people. I will admit I was a little disappointed with the "Walk through Muir Woods". It did not show anything really like the beautiful and amazing GIANT redwoods and the camera just stood in one place. I wouldnt call that a "walk". I do look forward to seeing more though.

CRAZY COOL APP

really awesome app I see the potential with this. Sports wilderness etc

Fan

Love the variety. Thanks! More to come I hope.

Awesome VR App!

One of the best VR apps out there. Glad to see Discovery is making this stuff. And the app is great. Notifies you when new videos go up.

Doesnt work with iPod Touch.

iPod Touch 5 running iOS 9. Video doesnt move with accelerometer.

No sound

Cool app but the sound doesnt work so kinda frustrating

Great app, just like Littlstar

A few pieces of content. If you want to see much more, check out Littlstar. Discovery used Littlstar’s technology to build Discovery VR and their web VR player.

Great VR app but the video freezes

This app is so much fun! I like watching the elephants, but it freezes a lot. Is there any fix for it?

A lot of potential!

Really cool! Just wanted to give some feedback on a few things I noticed on my iPhone 6 with a Google Cardboard viewer: First, the resolution was a bit low, I know the iPhone has a very high-res display, it’s probably a bandwidth tradeoff issue but you could go higher resolution. At the same time I noticed pauses and delays, although I have a great WiFi connection, perhaps some better technology is needed for buffering the videos. Finally and most easily fixable, in Cardboard mode you have a white bar at the top of the screen that says “Google Cardboard move” and at the bottom when the video needs to load, little green loading bars appear. Both of these are visible within the 3D Cardboard view, appearing on the far left and far right and are distracting and take away from the immersive illusion.

new experience

This is amazing

Bad

Videos are super low resolution and it really takes away from the experience. Could be really cool, but its not

Poor design

The idea is great but the bright white bar to exit is very distracting to the eye.

Blurry on Cardboard v2

Blurry on Cardboard v2. Anyway to adjust for the larger spread between eyeholes?

One of the best VR apps for content

The content in this is very good but there are some negatives that keep this from 5 stars. To wit: 1) navigation back to the main menu is just not obvious, if it is possible at all. Other than killing the app and restarting, I couldnt figure it out. 2) resolution of the video is sometimes low, which destroys the VR effect. The app should allow for content to be downloaded, then played, as the NYT VR app does. This would allow for higher quality video than streaming allows. Overall, pluses outweigh negatives in this version.
